It's official: Barbara Walters has gone friggin' mad. It's now perfectly clear to me she wants The View to be turned into Celebrity Deathmatch. What other possible reason could she have for selecting Shannen "I've been fired from every job I've ever had" Doherty?

...Shannen Doherty will fill in as a co-host on talk show The View later this month. The actress joins a growing list of guest co-hosts sitting in after the abrupt departure of Star Jones Reynolds last week, after her contract was not renewed....Doherty will guest co-host The View on July 31 and August 1. Also scheduled to sit in as co-hosts are American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, Dancing With The Stars winner Kelly Monaco and judge Carrie Ann Inaba.
