Hollywood's odd pairs...

Did you know that John Stamos and retro comedian Don Rickles are close buddies? Ever hear that Jamie Lee Curtis is Jake Gyllenhaal's Godmother? Hollywood sure does create some of the oddest twosomes...

For example, who the f knew that George Clooney, the Sexiest Man Alive, was close friends with pint-sized Danny Devito? It wasn't until Danny's oddly humorous drunken appearance on the View that we came to learn the two actors were friendly enough to spend time drinking into the wee hours of the night. So long, in fact, the Danny didn't even have time to freshen up before his ABC appearance.

George Clooney says he laughed out loud at his friend Danny DeVito's drunken appearance on the U.S. talk show, "The View," last week.

...Clooney was asked by reporters for his side of the story.

"He's a grown man; he can drink on his own," Clooney laughed. "We went to dinner and drank and had a couple of shots and, Danny, I guess, kept going," he recalled. "I was in bed by 11:30, but I did watch the show the next morning and I laughed. He couldn't be a better friend; he's a great, great guy. I tell you, thank God, he is a funny drunk." Clooney said he thought DeVito looked "a little out of it," the first time he saw the footage. "And then they played it again on CNN or something and I was sitting in bed like two nights ago, laughing out loud at his Jerry Lewis routine. It was really funny." [playfuls]

I just hope the two of them don't start rolling around town exposing their genitals to paparazzi, a la BritBrit and Paris... Well... George can. But Danny better keep his zipper zipped...tight.
