The more that comes to light about Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the more people start to wonder if we all should get a vote for the selection of VP, too. Sometimes one person's choice has the potential to greatly affect the course of history...for better or for worse. In this case, I admit to be scared out of my wits.
Actor Matt Damon is giving two thumbs-down to the prospect of a Palin Presidency. Damon said it's "scary" to think of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin being a heartbeat away from the Oval Office as John McCain's running mate. "I think the pick was made for political reasons, but in terms of governance, it was a disaster ... I think there's a really good chance that Sarah Palin could be president, and I think that's the really scary thing... It's like a really bad Disney movie. The hockey mom from Alaska and she's the president and it's like she's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hockey rink and it's absurd...It's totally absurd, and I don't know why more people aren't talking about how absurd it is." Don't expect former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson to throw a life preserver to Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin if she sees her struggling in the surf. ... When Anderson was asked if she saw a recent Newsweek article that included a picture of a bear hide in Palin's office, the Canadian-born bombshell took aim at America's most famous hunter. "I can't stand her," Anderson told E! News Weekend Canada. "She can suck it!" [ny daily news]
