As the hours pass, the details just get worse and worse.
Travis Barker and DJ AM were among six people aboard a Learjet that crashed upon takeoff from a Columbia, South Carolina, airport after midnight Friday. The four others onboard were killed. Barker, an ex-drummer for the rock band Blink 182 and the star of the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers, had performed at a free Friday-night college event with former Jane's Addiction singer Perry Farrell, Gavin DeGraw and DJ AM. Barker, 32, was taken to a burn center in Augusta, Georgia, about 75 miles southwest of Columbia, and was listed in critical condition Saturday morning – as was DJ AM (real name: Adam Michael Goldstein), 35, say officials at the facility. "Both Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein are in critical but stable condition," Beth Frits, spokesperson for the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, tells PEOPLE. "Goldstein was airlifted here and Barker was brought by ground transportation. So they arrived separately."The Four Who Died
According to South Carolina's Lexington County coroner, Harry Harman, and deputy coroner, Brian Setree, the four others on the plane were killed. They are: pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, Calif.; security guard Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles; and Barker's assistant Chris Baker, 29, also of Los Angeles. Apparently, Chris Baker was rushing home to be with his wife, as she was in labor. She gave birth to their second child this morning. Just really awful. There are no words.
According to E!, Barker and Goldstein are lucky to be alive, but their burns are pretty bad:
A friend of Travis Barker and DJ AM has revealed to E! News some grim new details about last night's plane crash, which the two survived but four others did not. AM is "really, really badly burned," according to the source, who confirms that "his face is very burned." The source adds, "More than 50 percent of his body is burned and the worst is on his face." The friend also said that Barker was burned "mostly from the waist down." Both men are in critical but stable condition at the Joseph Still Burn Center in Augusta, Ga. E! News was told by the source that, as of this morning, DJ AM was being "kept in an incubator" as part of his treatment in order to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infections.

TMZ nixed the story about Chris Baker's wife being pregnant and it being the reason they lear jet was hired in the first place. It's not true... she's not even pregnant. So weird, the shit that comes out in times like these.

Wow, look at that wreckage. I can't believe anyone survived that.
I'm glad to hear the "wife in labor" story wasn't true.
