It was a "dread"ful goodbye

Although Joan and I aren't too terribly upset or surprised by Anwar's departure from American Idol last night, we're totally and utterly baffled and pissed by Scott's staying power. Seriously, folks??? What's the freakin' deal here? Who is keeping that annoying idiot in this competition?

Go here to read about Scott's ridiculous endurance on AI.

i will never understand the voting system. never. the order of casting off should have been: scott, then anthony, then anwar. totally bogus. next week, they'll probably ax bo. and scott will end up in the final three. whaaa?

If Bo or Carrie goes before Scott or Anthony goes, then something is terribly, terribly wrong and there would definitely have to be an investigation. But I don't think we have to worry about Bo or Carrie, I'm worried that someone miles better than Scott and Anthony (ie, Vonzell and Constantine) will get booted before Tweedledee and Tweedledum go.

I tried to comment yesterday but it wouldn't let me.
Anywho... I'm not sad that Anwar is gone. I did like him early on and he has a great voice (as the judges say, he is technically the best singer in the competition,) but his song choice is usually horrendous, and I just can't enjoy his performances.
If either Scott or Anthony is not booted next week, I think much of America is due for an ear examination.
