I sent Joan these pics and after getting over her disbelief at the current state of The Queen of Soul, Joan had this to say:

Can she still sing or does she struggle to catch her breath?

I don't know, I haven't heard her sing in a quite a long time. Last time I saw her perform, she was big, although not as big as this, and she was sweating profusely! Plus the heat of the lights onstage.
