Dr. Phil McGraw – who met Britney Spears at Cedars-Sinai hospital Saturday – will devote his Monday taping to the pop star's problems. The show will air Tuesday. The syndicated talk-show host and therapist says he talked to Spears as she was leaving the facility, where she was held on a mental lockdown after a custody dispute. She was released after just a day and a half from a possible 72-hour stay. [WHICH IS BS BTW -- IF SHE WEREN'T BRITBIRT HER ASS WOULDA HAD TO STAY IN THE FULL 72 HOURS. SPECIAL TREATMENT RUNS RAMPANT IN LA. SICKENING. --ED] In a statement to Entertainment Tonight, McGraw said: "My meeting with Britney and some family members this morning in her room at Cedars leaves me convinced more than ever that she is in dire need of both medical and psychological intervention. "She was released moments before my arrival and was packing when I entered the room. We visited for about an hour before I walked with her to her car." Still, a source tells PEOPLE that McGraw "talked to both Britney and [father] Jamie about how her being released was one of the worst decisions that could have been made." And, BTW, did it ever occur to Dr. Phil that Brit-Brit was leaving "just moments" before his arrival because she heard HE was coming? That would get my ass up outta bed, for sure.
rumor has it that ma and pa spears are going to be on the good doctor's show today. between this and the rumor that SHE is going to be on the show on wednesday, i am obviously now DVRing the thing every single day.
