Despite his past as a nude male stripper, American Idol finalist David Hernandez won't be booted off the show, a source close to the Fox hit tells the Associated Press.
David Hernandez‚ a 24-year-old finalist from Glendale, Arizona, had worked as a stripper at Dick's Cabaret, appearing fully nude and giving lap dances to the club's "mostly male" clientele, until last September, the AP reported yesterday.
Frenchie Davis was kicked off the show in 2003 after topless shots of her surfaced on an adult Web site. But the source tells the AP Davis' situation was different because of the site's age-oriented content.
Fox and Idol producers have declined to comment officially on Hernandez so far.
In a funny twist, Hernandez was asked on a video posted on AmericanIdol.com which talent would he would most like to have if he couldn't sing.
His reply: "Dancing! I'm horrible at that." [Us Weekly]

oh, well that answers it... i should read your posts in order. i didn't know if he was gay or not when reading the "he gets kicked out" post.
