The Orange British Academy Film Awards

The big winners of the night: Daniel Day Lewis for
There Will Be Blood and Marion Cotilliard for La Vie en Rose

The BAFTAs brought a little red carpet glamor to the British Isles... Here's a look a the fashion highlights:

The Orange British Academy Film Awards, or the Baftas, is the most prestigious event in the British film calendar. Held at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden, the Baftas honour the best of international cinema released in the UK. With the Hollywood writers' strike forcing the cancellation of the Golden Globes ceremony and, potentially, the upcoming Academy Awards, the Baftas took on a new importance this year. Joe Wright's Atonement, starring Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, won the Best Film award, while Daniel Day Lewis and Marion Cotillard walked away with the acting honours. [telegraph/uk]
