Melissa, cover your eyes. I'm about to rave about this year's most fabulous musical! (Melissa hates musicals with a passion).
DREAMGIRLS is a friggin' guilty pleasure. If you haven't seen it yet, do! It's utterly enjoyable. Eddie Murphy is surprisingly delightful and entertaining. Beyonce -- gorgeous and a joy to listen to -- singing, not acting. She still sounds like she has rocks in her mouth. But by far... the best thing about Dreamgirls is Jennifer Hudson. You probably remember Hudson from American Idol, when she was sent home early...ultimately losing the winning title to Fantasia.
In the Jennifer Holiday role of Effie White, Hudson shines and makes you realize... American Idol be damned... this girl's a friggin star! If she doesn't take home the Globe for Best Supporting on the 15th... she'll have been robbed a second time.
Run, don't walk... see Dreamgirls. You won't be disappointed!

It sounds good to me. I like Jennifer Hudson so much more than Fantasia.
me too... i really think she was robbed.
ok, how did fantasia learn the lyrics when she couldn't read? can't believe they set an age limit but not a "can you sign your own name in non-x format" limit.
