Looks like some new info has surfaced about the TC/Katie Holmes prenup. Seems like however this charade ends, Katie is going to be rolling in the dough. (And I like the fact that Katie's dad has been stepping up against TC in many areas, even here where he was on one end of the negiotations.)

Whatever the outcome of their unusual love affair, [Tom's] his fiancée Katie Holmes is to become a very wealthy woman.

After weeks of legal wrangling, she and Cruise have signed a £22 million pre-nuptial agreement. An £8 million trust has already been set up for Miss Holmes, 27, and the couple's two-week-old daughter Suri, regardless of whether the couple marry or not.

Sources say if they do marry and later divorce, Miss Holmes will receive an additional £14 million from Cruise, who is said to be worth £250 million.

The pre-nuptial agreement has been the subject of intense negotiations between Cruise's lawyers and Miss Holmes's father Martin, a divorce solicitor.

The discussions took so long the couple's plans to marry before their daughter was born had to be put on hold. The wedding date has now been set for July. And with financial arrangements finally agreed, tension between Cruise and his strict Catholic in-laws-to-be has lessened.

"Katie's family have always been very sceptical about this romance," said one source. "They were shocked that Katie got pregnant so quickly and did not like the way she had turned her back on Catholicism for Scientology. But now this deal has been sorted out they are at least relieved that Katie and her baby will be financially secure for life, even if she doesn't marry Tom. Tom has also made clear to Katie's parents that he was happy to give her a chunk of his money because he feels sincere in his love for her. His attitude showed that he does love their daughter - even if they still have issues about the way she has changed since meeting him."

Cruise, 43, similarly gave millions to his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, mother of their two adopted children, although the exact figure was never revealed.

While the money rows are over, Martin Holmes is said to be upset at the pressure his daughter is under to lose weight in time for her wedding.

Determined to lose three stone in just over 2 months, she has hired fitness firm Buff Brides which has devised a weight-loss programme with Cruise. Sue Fleming of the company said: "Katie can and will do it. She has great motivation. She loves her fiancé and was proud that Tom oversaw this programme. He told her he wanted her to be the most beautiful bride ever. She was in tears when he said that."

There has been cynicism about Cruise's romance with Miss Holmes since the couple first became involved a year ago - when both were promoting movies.

The normally reserved actor attracted ridicule when he jumped up and down on the sofa on Oprah Winfrey's TV show and declared 'I'm in love. I'm in love'.

But a year on he has not stopped. Last week, in London for the premiere of Mission Impossible III, he told fans he loved Miss Holmes more than ever since they became parents. [The Daily Mail]
